Call for Papers: 

Pedagogy of the Oppressed -
We invite papers that discuss the 50th Anniversary of Paulo Freire’s 1968 Pedagogy of the Oppressed. Papers might address such topics as the importance of Pedagogy of the Oppressed in the development of critical pedagogy as practiced by a diverse scholars as bell hooks and Henry Giroux; the possibilities and limits of the public sphere as a site of developing critical consciousness and the role of education in pursuit of social justice and the legacy of Freire’s work for contemporary accounts of oppression.

Proposals are anonymous to chairs and steering committee members during review, but visible to chairs prior to final acceptance or rejection
