Mobilizing the Dead, a docuseries

This roundtable introduces a three-episode docuseries titled “MOBILIZING THE DEAD: Migrant-led Movements and the Crucified Body.” The docuseries is a popular bi-lingual resources emergent from a years-long collaborative research project between Latin American immigrant-led movement Movimiento Cosecha in the United States and an engaged scholar. MOBILIZING THE DEAD celebrates the Latin American immigrant community’s cultural and religious means to build a movement, popular power, and of struggle. Episodes accompany community members as they mobilize the dead to mobilize hope for resistance, healing, and transformation through online consciousness raising, culinary, spiritual, and cultural practices.
