This new anthology of primary sources on the Pure Land tradition extends across the entirety of the Mahāyāna Buddhist world. Still commonly identified with Japanese Buddhism, the tradition of practices and beliefs relating to pure lands is widely shared and this anthology explores the range of expressions of those practices and beliefs. The panel includes four contributors, one of whom is also an editor of the collection.
